Step-by-Step

1

First, you’ll insert H-Stakes into all of letters and stars..

2

Next, you’ll flat lay the parts where you want to build..

3

Finally, you’ll install letters in the ground and add the stars.

Image

Start with the first letter in the LARGE group, the PINK letter H for HAPPY. This requires a LARGE H-Stake.

Image

Position the H-Stake so the crossbar faces down and away from the printed side of the plastic.

Locate the small grey lines at the base of this PINK letter “H”.

Image

Insert the H-Stake posts into the plastic until the crossbar is 1” from the bottom of the letter.

Image

Your finished letter should look like this. Now move on to the next letter in the LARGE group.

Insert stakes into all LARGE and SMALL letters. Your complete set should look like this:

Image

There are two “Y” shapes. In the TOP LEFT CORNERS you’ll see one is DARK and one is LIGHT. You’ll use the DARK Y for “HAPPY”.

Image

Remove the H-STAKE from the DARK Y and replace it with TWO STRAIGHT STAKES. The LEFT STRAIGHT STAKE is only inserted 3” into the DARK Y.

PLASTIC RODS connect the STARS with the LETTERS. Two sizes are included: LONG and SHORT. These rods can be a little tight to insert and we recommend you USE A FLAT SURFACE and a ‘screwing’ motion for the rods.

Image

ON A FLAT SURFACE, use a screwing motion to screw two LONG plastic rods into the PINK letter “A” in the positions shown. Screw the rods HALFWAY in.

Image

Align the guidelines on the bottom of the PINK STAR with the two LONG plastic rods in the PINK letter “A”. ON A FLAT SURFACE, inch the star onto the rods until it connects with the PINK letter “A”.

Image

Finally, screw two SHORT plastic rods into the side of the PINK star as shown. Stop as the rods exit out the top.

Stop signal

There are two letter “P” shapes. One is more pink and one is more purple. Select the PURPLE “P”.

Image

ON A FLAT SURFACE, screw two LONG plastic rods into the top of the PURPLE letter “P” using the guidelines as shown. Screw the rods HALFWAY in.

Image

Align the PURPLE STAR with the two LONG plastic rods in the PURPLE letter “P”. ON A FLAT SURFACE, inch the star onto the rods until it connects with the PURPLE letter “P”.

Image

Finally, screw two SHORT plastic rods into the side of the PURPLE star as shown. Stop as the rods exit out the top.

Image

Align the BLUE STAR with the PINK STAR as shown and push the SHORT rods upwards into the BLUE STAR.

Now align the BLUE STAR with the PURPLE STAR as shown and push the SHORT rods upwards into the BLUE STAR.

Flat lay all LETTERS and STARS on the ground where you want to build your sign. It should look like this:

Image

Start with the center letter, “H”. Use both hands to push the vertical posts of the H-Stake into the ground. Leave 1” of space between the crossbar and the ground.

Stop signal

Make sure letters are the same height and are evenly spaced. You might need to work the stakes in and out of the ground to perfectly space each letter. LEAVE MAXIMUM 1/4″ SPACE BETWEEN LETTERS

Now let’s stack the TOP ROW on the BOTTOM ROW.As closely as possible, try and line up the “HAPPY” letters with the GREY GUIDELINES printed on the top of the “BIRTHDAY” letters

First you’ll stack the section you just made with the 3 STARS, PINK “A” and PURPLE “P” ..

Image

The “A” inserts into the “R” and “T” in BIRTHDAY and …

Image

Connect the first “P” in HAPPY, to the “H” in BIRTHDAY.

Image

FNow stack the “H” for HAPPY on top of the “I” and “R” in BIRTHDAY.

Image

Stack the PINK “P” in HAPPY onto the “H” in BIRTHDAY.

Image

Finally, connect the DARK “Y” in HAPPY, to the “A” in BIRTHDAY. Use straight stakes to connect the “Y” to the TOP of the “A” first, then do the LEFT SIDE of the “A”.

Wow You Did it!!
